Nobody sees anything by default
Every section of your profile starts private. A section only becomes visible to a finder once you’ve deliberately switched it on , see Choosing What’s Public.
Anyone who taps your device sees your public profile
There’s no login or approval process for a finder , MIPACE is designed to work instantly, for anyone, in the moment it’s needed. That means whatever you’ve made public is visible to anyone who physically taps or scans your device, not a restricted list of people. Bear this in mind when deciding what to include.
Your account is different from your public profile
Everything you’ve entered , including sections you’ve kept private , is visible to you when you’re logged in. It’s only what’s switched on that a finder ever sees.
Deactivating hides everything, instantly
If you deactivate your account, your public profile stops showing on every device at once , see Deactivating Your Account.
Reporting a device lost
If a specific device is lost, you can stop that individual device showing your profile without affecting any of your other devices , see Reporting a Lost Device.
A note on device links
Each tap generates a temporary, one-time link to view your profile , it isn’t a fixed web address that could be bookmarked, shared, or guessed by someone who’s never physically had your device.
