If you’re responsible for someone else’s information, as a parent, or as the person managing MIPACE™ for a child in your care, one account can hold more than one profile.
Your account always has your own main profile. Alongside it, you can create additional linked profiles for people you manage, most commonly children. Each one is a full MIPACE profile in its own right, with its own:
Updating one profile never affects another. Oliver’s profile and Emily’s profile stay completely separate, even though both sit under the same account.
EXAMPLE
One account holder manages two extra profiles alongside their own:
Oliver — a necklace and a sticker, linked to Oliver’s profile.
Emily — a card and a wristband, linked to Emily’s profile.
Each profile has its own information and its own devices. The account holder manages all three from one place, but nothing about Oliver’s profile shows through on Emily’s, or on the account holder’s own.
When a device is linked to your account, you choose which profile it connects to, your own, or one of the profiles you manage. A device can be reassigned to a different profile later if needed.
A profile marked as a child’s profile is treated with extra care on the public page: a surname is never shown, and a date of birth is only shown if you specifically choose to include it. The public page also shows a clear message that the person shown may be lost or need help, so a finder immediately understands the situation.
Your account can hold up to four shared emergency contacts, which any profile you manage can use. useful when the same person (often you) is the right contact for more than one profile. See Account-Level Emergency Contacts.
