One profile from everyday life to the bike trail

How one current profile can be reached from appropriate devices in different activities and settings.

MIPACE Knowledge Hub

The information that helps somebody understand you does not necessarily change when your activity changes. The access point might. That is where the separation between a MIPACE profile and its linked devices becomes useful.

Different setting, same person

A normal day, a commute and a bike ride may involve different equipment and different people around you. You can choose a suitable device for each context while linking them to the same controlled profile. There is no need to maintain several conflicting versions of your information.

Choose placement carefully

Think about visibility, durability, the equipment manufacturer’s guidance and whether the device is likely to remain with you. Do not place anything where it could interfere with protective equipment or safe use. MIPACE does not certify the physical suitability of every placement.

Make the public information relevant

A trail or roadside viewer may need different priorities from a colleague at work, but the profile still needs to remain proportionate. Put universally important information first and avoid turning the page into an activity diary.

Check before a significant trip

Confirm the device is active, the public page opens and emergency contacts are current. Remember that access depends on a compatible phone and connectivity. Continue to use the other safety measures appropriate to the activity.

Please note: MIPACE supports access to information. It does not provide medical advice, replace professional assessment, emergency services, safeguarding procedures or the safety arrangements appropriate to an activity or setting.
