Before the first tap: your MIPACE readiness checklist

Five checks to complete after your device arrives and before you rely on it in everyday use.

A newly delivered device is already assigned to the customer’s MIPACE account, but it is not active yet. A short setup check makes sure the physical device and public profile are ready for use.

1. Sign in to the purchasing account

The account is created through the device purchase process. Sign in to My MIPACE using the correct account and open Devices. The ordered item should be visible there as pending activation.

2. Activate the assigned device

Select the pending device and activate it. If it is tapped before this step, the visitor will see that it has not yet been activated. You do not need to create or manually claim a separate device record.

3. Choose and review the profile

Complete the profile that the device should open and decide what is public. Prioritise clear identity, communication, assistance and contact information as appropriate. Check spelling and phone numbers.

4. Test the public experience

Tap or scan the physical device using a compatible phone. Read the page as a stranger would see it and confirm that no private editing controls are exposed. If it does not open, follow the tapping and NFC troubleshooting guide.

5. Give the device a useful name

Once active, rename it in My MIPACE so you can recognise it later. A clear name is particularly important when several devices link to the same profile.
