The problem
Schools and nurseries need staff to have fast access to a child’s relevant information, but taking on the storage and upkeep of sensitive personal data for every pupil is a significant burden , and a significant risk.
How MIPACE Organisation helps
The school creates a person record for each child and invites the parent by email. The parent connects the device to their child’s own MIPACE profile, which they build and keep up to date themselves. The school never sees or stores the underlying medical or personal data , only that a device has been assigned and is active.
How it’s structured
A school signs up as a location within your organisation. Each group maps naturally to a class or year group, with its own group manager (a teacher) able to see the people in their group without needing wider access.
Suitable products
Wristbands, stickers, and keyrings , the same everyday-wear formats used for personal MIPACE devices, provisioned centrally and assigned per child.
Benefits
- No duplicated data-handling burden on the school
- Parents remain in full control of what’s on their child’s profile
- New staff or supply cover get consistent access to whatever the parent has made public
- A full audit trail of every device assignment
Limitations
MIPACE supports, but doesn’t replace, a school’s own safeguarding, SEND, and medical-needs processes , it should sit alongside those, not instead of them.
