You can create an additional profile under your account for a child you manage.
Create the child’s profile
From your account page, choose the option to create a new profile and give it a name. The new profile is separate from your own and can contain its own information, priority keywords, contacts and devices.
Mark it as a child profile
When editing the profile, select the child profile setting. This provides additional protection for the public view:
- The child’s surname is not displayed.
- The date of birth is hidden by default unless you choose to show it.
- The public page explains that the child may be lost or vulnerable and could need help.
Choose what is public
Review every public field from the child’s perspective. Include information that would help an unfamiliar person respond appropriately, but avoid details that do not need to be public. Involve the child in these choices wherever appropriate for their age and communication.
Manage the profile over time
You can rename or update an additional profile from your account. Review it after changes to contact details, communication, routines, school arrangements or assistance needs.
Connect a device
A device purchased for the child appears in My MIPACE as a pending device. After it arrives, activate that assigned device and select the child’s profile as appropriate. See Activating Your Assigned Device.
