Overview

MIPACE is a personal information and emergency-access platform. It brings together four things:
How the device and your profile connect
Your MIPACE device doesn’t store your information, it’s the way in to it. Every device you own links back to one profile. Tap or scan it, and whoever’s holding the phone is taken straight to your public profile: the version of your information you’ve chosen to share. Update your profile once, and every device connected to it updates immediately, nothing needs reprinting or reordering.
What happens when someone taps your device
Most modern smartphones read an NFC tag without needing an app installed, a tap opens a page in the phone’s browser showing your public profile. The link that opens is temporary and unique to that tap, so profiles can’t be found by guessing device numbers.
Your account vs. your public profile
There are two layers, and it’s worth being clear on the difference:
Visibility works section by section, Identity, Communication, Assistance, Medical, Emergency, Neurodiversity, Safety, and Other, so you can, for example, make your Emergency section public while keeping everything else private.
Priority information, front and centre
You can set up to eight short priority keywords (an allergy, a condition, a communication note) that sit prominently at the top of your public profile, the things you’d want someone to see first, before anything else.
Why people use MIPACE

Explaining important information isn’t always possible in the moment, because of a medical emergency, because speech is difficult right then, because a situation is overwhelming, or simply because the person asking doesn’t know the right questions. MIPACE gives that information a place to live and a fast way to be found, without you needing to say a word.

What MIPACE is not
MIPACE is an information-access tool. It does not replace emergency services, medical records, or professional medical advice, and it isn’t a guarantee that any particular person will see or act on your profile. In a genuine emergency, always contact the emergency services in the usual way.
